Timothy Magnus Dip WSET - Weinakademiker

After growing up in Australia and falling in love with wine from an early age, I spent several years working in the New South Wales wine region Hunter Valley. In 2007I moved to Switzerland and have been living here ever since.

I completed my WSET Level 3 in the year 2010 and further went on to complete the WSET Level 4 Diploma in the year 2012 through the Wine Academy Austria becoming an associate of the Institute of Wines & Spirits.

In 2015 with the completion of my research thesis I received the prestigious title of ‘Weinakademiker’ and won the inaugural ‘Swiss Wine Award’ for the most outstanding research thesis.

What had started as a hobby and the occasional bottle of Puligny-Montrachet with my father led me to discover the wines of Bourgogne and my greatest wine love affair. As of this year I am now also an accredited Bourgogne Wine Ambassador for the Bureau Interprofessionnel des Vins de Bourgogne (BIVB).

Having been in the wine industry for over 14 years now, I am now teaching wine courses for different providers and also consulting for restaurateurs. My latest project is import of Burgundy wines to Switzerland. My philosophy for this venture is to have a mix of Bourgogne wines at all price points with a strong focus on great value and rising stars!
